ICYMI: The Persistence of Sound

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of appearing on Radio Sombra‘s, Persistence of Sound podcast.

 

Hosted by my buddy and fellow Chapman University alum Gary Alvarez, we chopped up come on arts, culture, creative pursuits and our love of music.

 

I’ve lived in the SoCal area for nine years and even though I’ve been to Boyle Heights before, this was really the first time I spent some extended time in the area. Impending gentrification aside, Boyle Heights is a really beautiful part of town. A few miles from L.A. Live but giving off this “old city” vibe. It took me back to my study abroad semester in Costa Rica. Check out my appearance below ( I come in at around the one hour mark):
