Two Years In. What A Journey

Hey! Flobo here!

One of the more popular questions I’m asked is “Hey, how long have you been DJing?” A complicated question, surely. Why? Because as far as I’m concerned, there’s three answers to that question.

The first answer is that I started mixing CDs when I was in college. I had a little music radio show called Saturday Night’s Underground back in 2005, and I mixed and blended songs from a bunch of different genres.

In 2015, I started DJing weddings in Southern California with a large multi-op organization. I was a member on an ever-expanding roster.

In November 2017, I launched my own banner. This is the third date and though it’s the youngest, it is the one I’m most proud of. In my first year I qualified for WeddingWire’s own, Couples Choice Awards. I’ve seen amazing growth, but I know there’s always room for me.

Two years ago, I started my own #DJandMC company after an unexpected shift in my career path. And little by little, it’s become the little company that could.
