Story Time: After being a #mobiledj in Southern California for quite some time with a larger company, I made the decision to break out on my own. And even though I had DJ’d countless times beforehand, doing so under your own banner was a whole—as my mother would say—‘nuther pot of pumpkin. In postmodern marketing terms, “I became my own brand.” Anyway, not to wax poetic too much, I wore a replica WWE World Heavyweight Championship pin on my lapel first the few events because everybody feels invincible when they’re a champ! 👊🏾 💥.
